Meet the Teachers

Ms. Liz, Lead Educator

Hello! I’m Liz Hendrickson and I am so happy to be rejoining the KECC team as the certified teacher of the Turtle Room! I graduated from Indiana University and Lindenwood with my Masters in Teaching and dual certifications. This will be my 9th year teaching. I’ve mainly taught in primary grades, but early childhood has always been near to my heart!

My husband and I live in Kirkwood with our two daughters, Laine and Maeve, who are hilarious and keep us on our toes.  When I am not working, I love cooking, traveling, golfing and spending time with my family.

I am beyond excited, proud and grateful to be a part of the KECC  community!  I look forward to partnering with you on one of the earliest stages of your kiddos educational journey.

Ms. Kayla, Classroom Educator

My name is Kayla Mahoney, and I am proud to be a Kirkwood Early Childhood Turtle!!  I am from St. Louis, received a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a minor in women’s studies from Webster University.

I have a true passion for working with our youngest learners and love watching them grow.  I strive to create a community of learners that nurtures their growth in a positive, fun environment. 

In my spare time, I enjoy visiting coffee shops, going hiking, and spending time with family and friends.

Ms. Becky, Classroom Educator

Hello, my name is Becky Hartle, and I am so excited to be part of the Turtle Room here at KECC!

As a flex teacher in 2024, I had the unique opportunity to interact with all of our wonderful students throughout the school year, and I look forward to helping each one grow and learn in their own special way.

Family is incredibly important to me. My husband, Matt, and I have four children: Kailey (20), Lila (18), Kurtis (16), and Jake (14). We also share our home with a dog, named Bear, and a cat, named Ella. 

In my free time, I love to travel, watch sports, and take photos of beautiful sunsets.
