Meet the Teachers

Ms. Liz, Lead Educator

Hello! I’m Liz Hendrickson and I am so happy to be pe part of the KECC team as the certified teacher of the Penguin Room! I graduated from Indiana University and Lindenwood with my Masters in Teaching and dual certifications. This will be my 9th year teaching. I’ve mainly taught in primary grades, but early childhood has always been near to my heart!

My husband and I live in Kirkwood with our two daughters, Laine and Maeve, who are hilarious and keep us on our toes.  When I am not working, I love cooking, traveling, golfing and spending time with my family.

I am beyond excited, proud and grateful to be a part of the KECC  community!  I look forward to partnering with you on one of the earliest stages of your kiddos educational journey.

Ms. Jen, Classroom Educator

My name is Jen White.

I am so excited to be on the Penguin team this year.  I have been at KECC since 2017, first as a KSD Parent Educator for a year and then in the Bunny Room and also the Flex team.  

My husband Larry and I were married in 1997.  We have three daughters, Emma, Sara, and Leah.   We also have 2 dogs, Baxter and Sadie. 

Since January 1993, I have worked in Early Childhood. I have been a teacher for children ages 6 weeks-age 5 in various schools throughout my career. I have also been a Parent Educator for the Valley Park and Kirkwood School Districts.  

Early Childhood has been my passion.  I love watching children explore, grow, and learn.

Ms. Alex, Classroom Educator

Hello, My name is Alex Ring.  I joined KECC in 2024 and I am so excited to be a Penguin! I graduated from Missouri State in 2023 and have been working professionally with kids for three years. I am passionate about creating a positive and engaging environment where children can thrive. 

Outside of work, I’ve been doing a lot of reading, if anyone ever has suggestions, please let me know!
