Meet the Teachers

Ms. Maggie, Lead Educator

I began my teaching career in 1993 and started at KECC in 2007.  I have a Bachelor’s degree in Communicative Disorders from Mizzou and a Masters of Arts in Teaching from Webster University. 

I have a daughter at Mizzou (my husband and I are both alums so we’re all about the Tigers in my family!) and a son at Parkway South High School. 

I love getting to spend my days with preschoolers!

Ms. Courtney, Classroom Educator

I joined the KECC team in 2021 and have worked with children from birth to age 5 for many years.  I have my Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences.

Working with Kirkwood’s youngest learners is my true passion because they bring so much joy to each day.

I am eager to get to know your child and help them grow.

At home,  I am raising two daughters along with two dogs and also some turtles.  they all keep things interesting!

Ms. Melissa, Classroom Educator

Hi, I’m Ms Melissa and have been teaching at KECC since 1999. 

I believe our school family is made up of unique individuals each with their own learning style, interests, hopes, and dreams. I strive to make a classroom feel like a home, a place where everyone feels safe and loved.

This is a place where everyone belongs. I believe play is crucial for our little ones throughout their day. In my experience, social skills are the foundation of a successful learning career. I believe children learn best when we let them navigate and lead in the experiences they have every day.
