Meet the Teachers

Ms. Zoe, Lead Classroom Educator

Welcome to the Duck Room, I'm so glad you're here!  I have been a Kirkwood resident all my life and love getting the opportunity to work with Kirkwood's youngest learners each and every day.

In 2016, I received my Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Special Education from the University of Kansas and went on to pursue a Master's degree in Early Intervention for Autism and Sensory Impairments as well as a Specialist degree in School Administration from Lindenwood University.

I have been teaching at KECC ever since and have loved getting to work with so many students and families over the years.

Outside of school, I love spending time with my family including my two kids, husband, and our dog (Mac).  I love to hike, read, and buy way too many cookbooks with high hopes of cooking new recipes!

I am looking forward to working with your family this year and growing together in the journey of learning!

 Ms. Jen, Classroom Educator

My name is Jen Bush, and I have served at KECC since 1999.

In 2003, I graduated from Southwest Baptist University with a B.S. in Early Childhood/Elementary Education degree.  It has been a pleasure to have an ongoing relationship with KECC, both before and after college.

As a third-generation St. Louis native, I live in Kirkwood and regularly visit my grandmother who has lived in the area since 1917.  Outside of work I enjoy spending time outdoors, reading, and playing very serious games of Mah Jongg with friends.

Ms. Holly, Classroom Educator

Hello, my name is Holly Mason. I am an educator in the Duck Room. I attended St. Louis Community College at Meramec taking some Early Childhood Courses. I also took courses at Everest College for Medical Assisting.  I was an educator at KECC for five years. In 2007, after I had my son Ethan, I became a stay at home mom for a time. I missed working with all the kids so I returned to KECC December 2016 and love it!

I am married to my husband Adam and have two children, Ethan and step-daughter Kailey. I enjoy spending time with my family, baking, hiking, swimming, reading and watching movies.

So excited about this year and look forward to getting to know your child. It is going to be a great year!

Ms. Kasey, Classroom Educator

Hi! My name is Kasey Toy.

I graduated from Maryville University with my Masters in Early Childhood Education in 2022.

I joined the KECC team in 2020  teaching and couldn’t be happier here!
