Parents As Teachers
Parents as Teachers is a free and voluntary program open to all parents and families with children ages prenatal to kindergarten entry who live within the Kirkwood School District boundaries.

Residents of Kirkwood School District may apply for the preschool programs of interest after the child's birth by completing the Waiting List Application.

At the regularly scheduled meeting of the Kirkwood School District Board of Education meeting, the Board announced unanimous selection of Dr. Kenneth D. Roumpos as Kirkwood’s next superintendent, with an official start date of July 1, 2025. He currently serves as superintendent of the Francis Howell School District in O’Fallon.

Last night, the KSD Board of Education held an awards and honors ceremony to recognize some of the outstanding accomplishments of students and staff.

Due to updated enrollment projections, we will no longer pursue efforts to adjust boundaries in our district for the foreseeable future. Fall 2023 enrollment projections indicate an unexpected decline in enrollment due to lowering birth rates.

On September 11, the Kirkwood Board of Education acknowledged the Kirkwood School District (KSD) Key Contributors for 2023-24. The Key Contributor award recognizes support staff colleagues who support our schools, administrators, teachers, fellow staff members, and students. The winners were nominated by colleagues and then chosen by the selection committee as the Key Contributor for their respective category.

On Wednesday, May 3, the Kirkwood School District held their annual recognition ceremony, celebrating retiring staff members and those who have served 25 years in the Kirkwood School District. The event was held in the Walker Commons on the campus of Kirkwood High School.
